Meet our Landscape Designer
Designs by Denise was founded in March 2017 by Denise Ball. A Kentucky native, Denise grew up in southern Kentucky, surrounded by the mountains and all of its beautiful landscapes. It was because of this she developed a deep love for plants and the beauty it brings to an area. Maintaining her love of plants through adult hood she would attend Eastern Kentucky University and earn a bachelor's degree in Horticulture and eventually also become a Kentucky Certified Nurseryman. Hungry to expand her knowledge in the world of plants Denise would go on to work in multiple states as a plant buyer for other large landscape companies before settling back in Central Kentucky to begin work on what is now Designs by Denise.
Our Story
Our landscape design company began with the vision of supplying homeowners with professional landscape designs that they could install themselves. However, after a few years, the business grew substantially and the demand from clients to install the landscape designs created caused Designs by Denise to expand into a full service landscape company. Offering not only landscape designs but also landscape installation and landscape maintenance to both residential and commercial clients both in Lexington, KY, and the surround communities.
