Meet our Landscape Designer
Designs by Denise was founded in March 2017 by Denise Ball. A Kentucky native, Denise grew up in southern Kentucky, surrounded by the mountains and all of its beautiful landscapes. It was because of this she developed a deep love for plants and the beauty it brings to an area. Maintaining her love of plants through adult hood she would attend Eastern Kentucky University and earn a bachelor's degree in Horticulture and eventually also become a Kentucky Certified Nurseryman. Hungry to expand her knowledge in the world of plants Denise would go on to work in multiple states as a plant buyer for other large landscape companies before settling back in Central Kentucky to begin work on what is now Designs by Denise.

Our landscape design company was born from the exciting vision of empowering homeowners with stunning designs they could bring to life themselves. But guess what? Over the years, our passion and dedication skyrocketed, leading to tremendous growth! Thanks to the enthusiastic demand from our clients, Designs by Denise transformed into a full-service landscape company. Now, we proudly offer not just breathtaking landscape designs, but also expert installation and maintenance services for both residential and commercial clients in Lexington, KY, and the surrounding communities!
